Fewer than 100,000 people in Hawaii claim German heritage, but that doesn’t mean you can’t find a good Oktoberfest party while you’re here! Typically, this autumn festival lasts 16 days in Germany (from mid-September to early October), but here in Hawaii, the festivities extend through much of October.

So, if you’re in Hawaii during September or October, raise a beer and check out these Oktoberfest parties throughout the islands!

Oahu Oktoberfest 

Oktoberfest in Hawaii at SALT at Our Kaka’ako

SALT At Our Kaka’ako is a fun shopping center in the Kakaako area of Oahu. Their 2-night Oktoberfest celebration includes a stein-hoisting competition, live music, German beers, and great food.

Oktoberfest at Aloha Beer Company in Kakaako

Kakaako’s Aloha Beer Company typically has a special Oktoberfest menu for some of October, but their kickoff party is where you can really celebrate great beer, German fun, and amazing food. Enjoy live music, costume contests, and giveaways at this fun Hawaii brewery. 


Oktoberfest at Brigit and Bernard’s Garden Cafe 

Did you know that Maui has its own authentic German restaurant? Brigit and Bernard’s Garden Cafe is a small restaurant in Kahului with a beautiful patio and delicious food. Come by during Oktoberfest to enjoy a special menu, a variety of German beers, and a great ambiance. 

Maui Brewing Company Oktoberfest

Maui Brewing Company is a fun spot in Kihei with a spacious tasting room, a fantastic restaurant, and lots of outdoor spots for kids to enjoy. They typically hold a one-night fundraiser during Oktoberfest, complete with great food and menu specials. Come sip, relax, and support a good cause at this fun Oktoberfest in Hawaii. 

Oktoberfest in Hawaii Island (Big Island)

Hilo Bay Oktoberfest 

Hilo’s Oktoberfest serves as a fundraiser for the Hilo Rotary Club. There is live music, costume contests, a silent auction, and great German Food. It’s a family-friendly party that typically runs for one evening only. It’s definitely not the biggest Oktoberfest celebration, but it’s charming in its small size and a fun thing to do if you’re in Hilo on the right day.

North Shore Oktoberfest

Kaui has a great one-day Oktoberfest celebration on the North Shore that’s great for beer enthusiasts. This is a 21+ event that benefits the Rotary Club of Hanalei. Tickets include beer samples, great food, lawn games, and live entertainment. 

Kauai Beer Company Oktoberfest in Hawaii

Kauai Beer Company has a great special menu throughout Oktoberfest that you’ll want to check out. Their Lihue location is a great place to try local beer, eat great food, and enjoy the relaxed pace of Kauai.
