This weekend we had the opportunity to stay at a resort on the Windward side of Oahu called the Paradise Bay resort. Out of the hustle and bustle of busy Waikiki this property is tucked away in one of my most beautiful areas on the island. While it has a bed-and-breakfast feel you’ll also find a lot amenities that resorts have. There’s continental breakfast daily, maid service and complementary activities such as kayaking, paddleboading and surfing.

On Saturdays you can take a free excursion out to the popular Kaneohe Bay sandbar, on Wednesday nights there’s Hawaiian music and on Saturday nights they have complementary Mojito’s at sunset. Perfect for a Hawaii Family Vacation because you can get two, three and even five bedroom units. Most of the units have been recently renovated and are appointed with a beautiful Balinese theme.

If you want to get out of busy Waikiki and want the real tranquility that Oahu has to offer, this is certainly the place to have a majestic Hawaiian experience.

  1. I absolutely LOVE this resort! It really has a magical and tropical feel, and it’s so nice to have a great option outside of Waikiki

  2. This is the way to feel the real Hawaii. Right around the corner from Kailua Bay and if you want to go the other way, Kaaawa Beach is
    there as well.

  3. Live right up the road from here, its a fantastic ocean spot. The sandbar is also a grrrreeeeeeeaaaaaaaattttttt way to spend the day whether with your family, as a couples retreat, or just a girls/guys trip for some fun in the sun. Always a great time outside.

  4. This is a truly delightful bayfront hideaway off the beat & path, with a wonderful, very hospitable team. I love this place!

  5. It looks fantastic!!! And what a great alternative to the crazy of Waikiki! That side of the island is just beautiful, especially the drive over. And Mojitos!!!!

  6. Thank you so much for visiting with us here at Paradise Bay Resort! We’re so glad you enjoyed your time and it was a pleasure to meet all of you! Look forward to see everyone again!

  7. It looks like everything I loved about the Windward Inn is pretty much still in place… perhaps with the addition of comfortable beds. I’m constantly re-visiting this in my thoughts and dreams. Thanks for the info and the video!! <3 <3
