I can’t tell you how many people each week ask me about this venue so on today’s podcast we talk about Hawaii’s #1 tourist attraction; Pearl Harbor. It also happens to be one to the most confusing. Pearl harbor is an all-encompassing term that is an area which includes the USS Arizona Memorial, The USS Bowfin, The Mighty Mo (USS Missouri) and the Pacific Aviation Museum.

I explain how to navigate this maze of World War II history, offer suggestions and most of all GETTING TICKETS!! How important this historical place is to you personally will determine how much time you want to invest in exploring. After listening you’ll be able to make a much more informed decision about what is best for your situation.

  1. I was glad to see you are back. I can play your podcast in the car on the way to work with my kids but not the one you do with Wayde. We will be in Oahu in two months with friends, staying in Ko Olina at the Marriott for two weeks and then two nights at the Auluani (we are big Disney fans). We were there three years ago to celebrate my sons first birthday and this time we will be celebrating his fourth. We plan on snorkeling almost every day either in Ko Olina or sharks cove (we did this last time with the kids and they loved it). We also want to visit Uncle George this time to learn how to do SUP, plus he sounds like an amazing person to meet. We are thinking of going either to the Iolani Place or the Bishop house. Which one do you think will be better for the kids (an 11 year old, two 9year olds, and a 4 year old)? Last time we went to Makapu’u light house and so this time we are thinking of going to Waimea Falls. Our group wants to do a Luau this time since we haven’t done one the last four times we came. I was thinking of doing the Fia Fia since its at the Marriott but would the Paradise Cove Luau be better? Thank you for the tip on using TURO to rent a car. We got a great deal. When should we book the Luau and can we book it through you? Also, my parents have invited us to join them on the Big Island the second week in April. We already have the place to stay and I was wondering when should we call you to start looking into booking the airfare ,car, and activities like snorkeling with the manta rays and seeing the volcano? We would like to use your services. Thank you
