Stop by and smell the lavender! This gorgeous lavender farm Maui offers is the ultimate spot to unwind and enjoy nature.
Alii Kula Lavender Farm
Alii Kula Lavender Farm is definitely one of my favorite places on Maui. It’s a great stop along unique backroads and an adventure in agritourism.
Located on the slopes of Haleakala, the Maui lavender farm takes visitors beyond the beach and into nature, where it’s a treat for all senses. Breathe in the lovely lavender scents or tickle your taste buds with lavender tea and scones.
What to Expect During Your Visit

Known for relaxation and serenity, lavender has an earthy scent that will put anyone in meditation mode. And the Maui Alii Kula Lavender Farm is a relaxed place to visit. It’s just a few dollars per person to visit, and you don’t need to make any reservations.
Self-guided tours allow you to explore the grounds at your own pace. And there’s more than just lavender here. This scenic upcountry property boasts a full botanical garden full of tropical flowers, ornate trees, and meandering paths.
My most favorite part of the Maui lavender farm is the onsite store, complete with tea, scones, and other lavender goodies! After a stroll through the gardens, it’s always nice to sit back on the open-air patio and enjoy the luscious lavender tea and scones. In fact, I’d go to the farm just to eat the scones. They’re so good. And almost just as good is the breathtaking panoramic view of the Maui coast below. It just doesn’t get better than that!
Visiting Tips for the Lavender Farm on Maui
It’s best to visit the lavender garden during the early morning or late afternoon hours. The weather’s much more pleasant then, as opposed to the scorching sun you may experience during the middle of the day. If it’s overcast, you might just find yourself walking through clouds because of how high up the farm is on the mountainside.
Your trip to the Maui Lavender Farm will likely be part of a driving tour of Upcountry Maui. Include a stop in Makawao town, Kula, and the Ocean Vodka Organic Farm and Distillery. End it all by continuing up the mountain to the summit of Haleakala, where you can watch the sunset above the clouds.
