Q and A regarding travel:

Q: Which 2 hotels will iFog have special rates for the summit?
A: The 2 hotels we’ve chosen are the Park Shore Waikiki and the Aqua Queen Kapiolani Hotel. The Park Shore is a notch up from the Queen Kapiolani. The Queen Kapiolani is a budget friendly hotel, rooms are smaller and there are fewer amenities.
Q: Can I use miles or try to get my own flight?
A: Yes, however Hawaii Aloha Travel can obtain the best prices for you by booking 2 or more travel items. Please note that taxes and fees are usually much higher for miles rewards in Hawaii.
Q: Do we have to arrive and depart specifically on the dates mentioned above?
A: No, the outlined itinerary is a suggestion. You may arrive several days early and stay days later if your schedule permits.
Q: May I get a rental car?
A: Yes, however please note that parking is a premium especially in Waikiki. Daily parking fees can range from $25 to $35 per day. All of the tour/travel activities and the summit will have transportation. The luau is within walking distance to hotel. You will receive a lei and a ride to your hotel to/from the airport as part of your travel package.
Q: Why are you using a Hawaii based travel agency?
A: Using Hawaii Aloha Travel means you will have a live travel expert in Hawaii assisting you with your travel. In the event of an emergency during your travel such as a missed flight, the travel specialist will be able to assist you. They are known for beating the big name travel websites prices. Plus, the investment in your vacation goes back into the local economy.
Q: How do I know that Hawaii Aloha Travel is an agency in good standing?
A: Hawaii Aloha Travel is a licensed travel agency in the state of Hawaii. It is a member of the BBB. Find more information about Hawaii Aloha Travel, here https://www.hawaii-aloha.com/about-hawaii-aloha-travel.html
Q: I have additional questions about travel, whom may I contact?
A: Abby Lapointe (abby@hawaii-aloha.com) who is our travel specialist with Hawaii Aloha Travel is your point of contact regarding travel and she will answer your questions. If you have a question regarding the summit, your point of contact with iFog Hawaii is Annette Kam buckwun@aol.com
Q: Can we just plan our activities once we get to Hawaii?
A: Yes, however if you book your activity with your travel, you will likely have a better price and discount. Planning an activity after you arrive means you may pay a higher price. Several tours are being arranged just for our group. Please see the schedule for the specific summit tours.
Q: Can we do our own activities?
A: While we are planning a couple of Fibro friendly summit activities, you are more than welcome to plan your own activities with Hawaii Aloha Travel.
Q: I found a lower price for my trip elsewhere. How do I get a price match?
A: The itinerary should be exactly the same such as same airline, same departure date and time, same hotel, same check-in and check out. You will need to show Hawaii Aloha Travel a screenshot or a link to the website which will be submitted for your price match.
Q: Does Hawaii Aloha Travel charge a fee for their services?
A: No, Hawaii Aloha Travel charges no fees for their services. They receive discounted rates by combining travel through travel suppliers who buy in bulk. They are then able to pass the savings on to you.
Q: May I stay at another hotel?
A: Yes, however, the scheduled bus pickup and drop off for the summit is at our designated hotel. You may also find it helpful to be staying near other Fibro buddies attending the summit. We are also obtaining group rates at the 2 designated hotels and that savings is passed on to you.
Q: Is it possible to make arrangements to fly to another island too?
A: Yes, just ask our travel planner when you make arrangements for your travel. Adding a side trip is easy!
