Bruce and Yaling Fisher have an interesting podcast for your aloha Friday, Hawaii Vacation Connection’s 348th podcast, so mahalo for tuning in! Today they will share what they learned about Hyatt hotels in Hawaii plus vacation package reviews that were booked in the past 24 to 48 hours. This is a great segment because it gives you an idea of what people are paying for their Hawaii vacations.
There are three Hyatts in the state, and while you might think of them as a hotel chain, there are actually only 600 worldwide, making them a relatively smaller hotel company. Did you know Hyatt actually invented the whole ‘resort’ concept too? Here’s the scoop on Hyatts in Hawaii:
The Grand Hyatt Resort & Spa on Kauai is different than a Regency because Grand Hyatt’s have a higher level of service. This means there is usually more employees, better service and higher employee to customer ratio. The property is higher-end and the spa is fantastic. With 50 ocean front acres, this resort is about to begin a multi-million dollar renovation.
The Hyatt Regency in Maui is 40 acres of ocean-front property on Kaanapali Beach with a lot of luxury to offer. With a 750,000 gallon half-acre fantasy pool, this feature has waterfalls, a 150-foot lava tube water slide and a zero entry sand bottom children’s pool and is open 24 hours. This property has 806 rooms, each with their own private lanai and a variety of amenities including Camp Hyatt for the kids, an athletic club, Spa Moana, 4 restaurants and 6 lounges.
Last is the Hyatt Waikiki Resort & Spa, which was built in 1976 and set new standards for contemporary luxury in Waikiki. The bedrooms are spacious with Hawaiian decor and is in one of the best locations of Oahu, the heart of Waikiki steps from the beach. There are three great restaurants that are award-winning on this property including Hyatt on the Beach, which is now a snack bar on the beach. With complimentary access to the Stay Fit fitness center you can stay active throughout your vacation and with over 60 shops and boutiques you’re sure to get some walking in too!
