Aloha Bruce shares the latest developments on the lifting of Hawaii travel restrictions on our newest Hawaii Vacations Connections Podcast, Sunday, June 6, 2021.

The podcast breaks down the numbers of visitor arrivals during the past year, noting the incredible spike that happened in April and May 2021. It has resulted in massive demand for accommodations and price hikes. “We are coming back strong,” Bruce says.

Bruce discusses the lifting of interisland travel restrictions on June 15, and what it means for Hawaii’s visitor industry. It’s great news. This is due to Hawaii’s high COVID vaccination rates, and Bruce explains that a 70% vaccination rate will result in the removal of all pandemic-related travel restrictions.

“We’re almost at 60%,” Bruce notes, while remarking on the challenges of increasing vacation rates. The many compelling free and discounted incentives offered for residents to get vaccinated leads Bruce into an aside about Tatani Izakawa, a vegan Japanese restaurant that he recently visited with friends. “It’s just delicious”. Bruce wonders why younger people seem hesitant to get the vaccine.

The important point is made that a negative COVID test remains required to avoid mandatory quarantine for trans-Pacific arrivals.

Hawaii vacation packages are popping, and Bruce mentions the Live Zoom Hawaii Vacation Connection planning option for listeners, including the in-house HAT condo offers at the Luana Waikiki Hotel & Suites and many amenities included. (Mention the podcast!)

Bruce shares some recent booking deals he’s found, including a honeymoon package for a couple at the Hyatt Regency Maui, and lauds the improvements made at the property. $6,129 for a week in “probably the best room in the house.”

HAT created an inclusive package for a couple from Atlanta at the Kauai Beach Resort with wild amenities that include outside activities, and another couple from Houston at the Princess Kaiulani in Waikiki that came at a remarkably low $2,100.

If you want to get serious about booking a Hawaii vacation, no one is better at getting you the best deals out there than Aloha Bruce and on-the-ground experts at Hawaii Aloha Travel.
