On this February 12, 2021, Hawaii Vacation Connection Podcast, Aloha Bruce shares news of two great properties reopening, and answers the question; Can you find deals to Hawaii as a result of the pandemic? booking a last-minute Hawaii vacation. Bruce starts off with a story about an email from a podcast listener who is staying at Hawaii Aloha Travel’s Waikiki condominium at the Luana Waikiki Suites that comes without resort fees.
Bruce shares his experience in doing last-minute bookings for people looking to take advantage of special Hawaii deals. He says that a hotel’s occupancy is important to consider because most hotels are not open to actual capacity during the pandemic and that great Hawaii deals may be hard to find (and he lets listeners in on a special deal Hawaii Aloha Travel is offering for a short time).
Bruce also talks about a partnership with CLEARS Health Pass application that helps visitors avoid quarantine with a negative COVID-19 test. He explains how its screening system works and some of the tech behind it while explaining the 4-step process. He notes that there have been issues with the Hawaii Safe Travels program for some Hawaii visitors.
Bruce talks about the remodeling of the Kaimana Beach Hotel on Waikiki’s famed “Gold Coast” and talks about some of the cool design modernizations at the famous property. Bruce talks about the people behind the improvements at the hotel and award-winning food by the hotel’s Executive Chef. Bruce also notes the new Eco Retreat by Heart Core Hotels in Volcano on the Big Island and says friends of the podcast will be on in the week ahead to talk about it.
The AC by Marriott in Wailea on Maui is also set to open in March, and Bruce says it is a great place for families to stay with big rooms and great amenities. Bruce reminds listeners to check out the Hawaii Travel Channel YouTube page (www.youtube/HawaiiTravel) for the new video podcast he and co-host Lanai Tabura have created for Hawaii.com and the Honolulu Star-Advertiser.
