Happy Hawaii Visitors in Spite of Pandemic

The February 4, 2021 Hawaii Vacation Connection Podcast features host Aloha Bruce commenting on the remarkably high level of Happy Hawaii visitors and satisfaction according to a recent survey conducted by the Hawaii Tourism Association. 94% percent of people polled said that their Hawaii vacation experience exceeded their expectations, with a vast majority saying their vacation rated as “Excellent”.

He explains that Hawaii’s Safe Travels program is working smoothly and is likely to be expanded to provide quarantine exemptions for visitors with proof of a COVID-19 vaccine in the months to come. Bruce is optimistic about a quicker return to normal Hawaii travel and Happy Hawaii Visitors than current projections made by some officials.

Bruce details some of the current and proposed future requirements of the Hawaii Safe Travels program. “Hawaii is going to be coming back very strong,” he says. “We’re going to be back in a big way. Hawaii is open.”

Bruce offers more details about feedback regarding the HTA survey and some issues that visitors have faced when navigating Hawaii’s testing Safe Travels program. He also notes new testing options available for travel to Hawaii and discusses some of the concerns raised by podcast listeners and by survey respondents, particularly the 72-hour requirement. Bruce also reminds listeners about Hawaii Aloha Travels online testing calculator.

Survey respondents also indicated that they chose Hawaii as a destination because of the Aloha State’s relatively low case count and infection rate compared to almost any other US destination. Bruce expects demand for Hawaii travel to increase in May and that now is the time to book.

Bruce encourages listeners considering a Hawaii vacation to contact Hawaii Aloha Travel with questions and concerns about booking and finding the best deals for your dream trip to paradise. He also reminds listeners about the Hawaii Vacation video podcast he and co-host Lanai Tabura are producing on YouTube in conjunction with Hawaii.com.

“People are happy with their Hawaii vacations!” Bruce says. “The time to book is now.”
