Today we had some great questions from Facebook and podcast listeners. First up was Shannon who wanted to know what it’s really like to live and work in the islands. I enjoyed answering this because it reminds me of how lucky we are to live in this wonderful place. Almost without exception, friends and family who have visited us here from the mainland love it so much that they want to move here. I share what it was like for me to move into multicultural environment and what impact that has had on my life . Talk about some of the obstacles people face and offer advice if you’re really considering making the move to Hawaii.
Are you dreading the long flight to Hawaii for your vacation? On today’s show we give you some advice on how to combat jet lag so that you don’t have to spend your whole vacation adjusting to the time change. Sure you can take some meds but that’s just going to zonk you out1 There are lots of other things you can do to make your trip a little bit easier. The thing that has always helped me the most is to make sure that I change my watch and all of my other technology to the destination’s time zone soon as they get on the plane. I also drink a lot of water and make sure that I got my isle seat on the plane so I can walk around. Listen to the show for some more ideas about how ease the jet lag blues.
Finally, at the end of the show I reveal the one thing that you must do when you come to islands which was prompted by a question from Jeff.
