Today’s podcast on February 3rd, 2010 is brought to you by the owners of Hawaii-aloha.com in Hawaii, Hawaii’s experts. Streaming live is now easier for Bruce and Yaling and they’ll be traveling spontaneously around the island and to stream live.
Over the weekend, Bruce and Yaling hosted a LOST event for the brand new season. It began with a dinner on Friday night, a Saturday morning brunch with the premiere of Lost, then a Sunday tour around the island to some of the filming grounds.
Also, for the first time in 20-something years the Pro Bowl did not happen in Hawaii. And it was greatly missed! It took place in Miami with beautiful weather, but it still didn’t compare to Hawaii. Also, the Kokua Festival is coming up in April, which is put on by Jack Johnson, one of the best music talents coming out of Hawaii. There are many festivals in Hawaii that you can build your trip around, just ask Bruce and Yaling.
A few more festivals coming up are The Honolulu Festival coming up March 12 to 14th, a 3-day celebration of art, music and dance. Also the Lei Day Celebration is May 1st with tons of entertainment, food booths and lei making. The 18th Annual World Fire Knife Competition Festival, with people coming from all over Polynesia to perform the best fire dance. This is done in conjunction with the Polynesian Culture Center, so check them out online. The Annual Prince La Hula Festival in July has dancers from all over the world join in for hula halau, dance troops and an immersion of native Hawaiian culture. The Made in Hawaii Festival is also happening soon where you can find everything form jams and jellies to clothing, artwork, home furnishings, jewelry and more. Everything is made in Hawaii so it is as unique as it gets!
In other news, airlines are now charging for bags and fees are rising quickly. But the good news is Hawaii Aloha Travel can include these prices with your package, so book with them today! Listen to Hawaii package reviews booked in the past 24 to 48 hours and get excited about your next trip to the Islands!
