Agent Review:

"This hotel is a good option for someone that is going to be exploring Oahu and not spending all their time in their room. The hotel has an excellent location and while the rooms are slightly dated they are clean."

Situated on the eastern end of Waikiki, just minutes away from Diamond Head Crater, the Queen Kapiolani Hotel is a family-friendly hotel close to numerous outdoor attractions. All of the newly renovated guestrooms and suites feature air conditioning, free wireless internet access, mini-refrigerators, and coffee makers. Many rooms offer private balconies and fully equipped kitchenettes. All accommodations are nonsmoking, and ADA accessible rooms are available upon request.

A private swimming pool and sundeck is located on the third floor, and the newly remodeled Kulana Restaurant serves breakfast, afternoon cocktails, and dinner in a causal poolside location. Live Hawaiian music is performed every Friday and Saturday night and offers guests a chance to relax and enjoy the laid-back nature of the Hawaiian Islands.

Guests looking to spend the day at the beach can simply walk across the street to the calm waters of Waikiki Beach. A variety of beachside vendors offer surfing, snorkeling, stand-up paddleboarding lessons and equipment rentals at hourly rates. Tennis enthusiasts can visit the nearby 24-hour tennis courts, and golfers have just a short walk to the 18-hole Ala Wai Golf Course. The Honolulu Zoo is located directly across the street, and the Waikiki Aquarium and 300-acre Kapiolani Park are within minutes of the hotel lobby. Nearby Diamond Head State Park offers a scenic 2 mile historic hike and panoramic views of Oahu’s southern shore. A variety of additional hiking destinations are easily accessible from the Waikiki area, providing visitors with an array of moderate to challenging hikes to unforgettable destinations. Pearl Harbor, Iolani Palace, Mission Houses Museum, and the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific are all within 15 miles of Waikiki. The Honolulu International Airport is just 10 miles away, and hotel parking with in and out privileges is available for $15 per day.
