Whalers Village, a lively outdoor mall just a few minutes south of the resort, offers numerous restaurants, shops, and complimentary admission to a whaling museum. The Whalers Village Museum is open daily from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm and explores Lahaina’s history as a whaling town while promoting ocean awareness. Additional island activities popular with Maui vacationers include evening luaus, the picturesque Road to Hana tour, and a bicycle ride down Mount Haleakala.
