Take an unforgettable helicopter tour that will show you a side of Oahu few eyes see. No matter if you are a visitor or local, we all see the island from the same vantage point. Makani Kai helicopter tours offer you the chance to see Oahu like never before. The tour starts off the south central point of the island then follows the coastline through downtown Honolulu to Waikiki and to the southeast tip at Hanauma Bay. From there the tour follows the Ko’olau mountain range all the way up the east side until the North Shore. Depending on the tour you choose, this will determine the rest of the journey.
The most popular tour "Hidden Oahu" will lead back down through the pineapple fields and farm lands of central oahu over to Pearl Harbor. The tour was amazing and even as a local, I saw parts of this island I never knew existed. I was shocked by the scenery and perspective the helicopter gave me. This is a truly awesome way to help get a feel for the islands geography as you pass through the rugged Ko’olaus hovering over breathtaking waterfalls until you reach ariel views of Sunset Beach, Pipeline, and Waimea Bay. The waters of the Pacific below looked crystal clear and guests will be happy to know I wasn’t able to spot any sharks. The vivid greens of the lush lands here were spectacular.
The pilot did a great job at explaining all the sites and history behind the different areas we flew over. The rest of the staff was extremely professional and made me feel safe for the entire process. This tour is a must!
