Kalaupapa Guided Mule Tour
One of the most popular tour destinations on Molokai is Kalaupapa, a national historical park that offers miles of trails, spectacular views, and a step back in time. Kalaupapa was a remote place where those suffering from leprosy were banished to by the Hawaiian government. But today it stands as a historical landmark with St. Philomena Church, the Kalaupapa Settlement, volcanic craters, tubes and caves, plus sea cliffs, lush valleys, rainforests, and underwater coral reefs for guests to explore. It is a place of solitude, beauty, and historical value and this guided mule tour is by far the best way to view it all. Choose from one of two different options, both of which include a picnic style lunch and a full day of touring the location. You can view Kalaupapa from atop a friendly mule or choose to take a guided hike through the landscape on foot. This is a must-do activity on Molokai and a rare adventure that will create memories for a lifetime.
