Every Friday night, the skies over Waikiki light up with a wonderful fireworks show put on by the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Now, locals and visitors get to enjoy a Tuesday night show as well.

The hotel decided to expand its fireworks shows so that guests have more of a chance to see at least one. This makes total sense, since most guests will make their stay for only four or five days at a time.

The Tuesday show will begin at 7:45 p.m., with a 15-minute show by Tihati Productions. Tihati is one of Hawaii’s top entertainment companies of singers, dancers and musicians. You’ll see them at luau throughout the island.

By 8 p.m., the loud pops and bangs of this pyrotechnic production signal the start of the show. The best seats would be anywhere along Waikiki Beach or even from one of the Hilton towers. However, the shows can be watched from pretty much anywhere on the south shore.

Hilton originally started the fireworks tradition in the late 1980s to celebrate its $100-million “Return to Paradise” master plan. It was such a hit that the hotel has continued the Friday night show ever since. This Tuesday night show will also be a whole new tradition in the making!
