For those of you who’ve been missing your “Liquid Aloha” from the Kona brewing Company you’ll be happy to know that after three weeks of renovations the popular jaunt in Koko Marina reopens again today. The pub, which opened 11 years ago, is a popular spot for both locals and tourists alike looking to satisfy their need for great beer, eats and to enjoy the spectacular view of Kauppa pond on the restaurants spacious Lanai.
The renovation was inspired by a Hawaiian canoe house which represents, the spirit of Aloha and gathering. There’s more to come too, this is only “phase one” of the plans. A second phase is planned to redo and enclose the front porch which will be partially covered.
With the new renovation comes a expanded menu which includes family-style platters and sandwiches.
If you haven’t checked it out make sure you put that on your list the next time you come to Oahu; it’s in Hawaii Kai and it’s a great stop before or after you visit Hanauma Bay. The restaurant is open daily from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm.
