Enjoy the Holidays with Honolulu City Lights

Mr. and Mrs. Claus on display in front of Honolulu Hale

The Honolulu City Lights holiday display stays up for pretty much the entire month of December. But there’s nothing more special than seeing the 50-foot-tall tree light up for the first time.

Thousands of revelers gather in front of Honolulu Hale for this very occasion. An occasion filled with a long list of festivities for the entire family. Spectators enjoy the curbside view of an electric parade of decorated vehicles and floats; they make their way down the road fronting Honolulu Hale. Music lovers enjoy the live entertainment, while kids look forward to rides and activities just for them.

Every year, a special theme defines the annual event. This year’s will be “Shaka Santa Goes Holoholo,” meaning “Santa is out having fun!” And that’s exactly what your time in Hawaii should be all about. Fun in the sun, as well as a dash of pure bliss during this holiday season.

But no matter the theme, Mr. and Mrs. Claus always know how to welcome holiday revelers. Draped in lei, the pair hang out at the base of the Christmas tree – waving to everyone who passes by. They appear to be so relaxed, dangling their feet above the pool of water, their pants rolled up high enough from getting wet.

Hopefully this post brings you some holiday cheer. It will surely be a season to remember.
