Maui Resort Uses Luxury Sedans

Here’s to riding in style while cruising Hawaii:

The Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea launched a limo service that uses all-electric Tesla S 85 luxury sedans. With a price tag of over $73,500, the Tesla is available for airport transportation or escorted trips around the island. (So far, they only have one).

Don’t expect it to be cheap, though. The resort charges guests $145 per hour (two hours minimum) and $253 for one-way airport transportation. That’s one expensive ride! But for a high-end resort that charges up to $500 a night, that’s not too out of the ordinary.

Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea prides its ride on being an all-electric vehicle that doesn’t leave a carbon footprint. The Tesla four-door sedan holds up to three passengers, in addition to the driver. Guests have used it for airport transportation but also as a way to get to restaurants around town. Being that Maui is one of the larger islands, I would imagine the tab at the end of the night being rather ridiculous.

Cool, though, that a hotel has turned to more eco-friendly ways of serving their guests. Definitely a unique go-green venture new to Hawaii’s hotel industry. I’m sure it will catch on quickly.
