Woohoo! Wahoo! Yippee!! Yeeeeheee!
I think that pretty much sums up the excitement shared by many Hawaii Five-0 fans – after CBS announced today the season four premiere will be in Wakiki this September. The annual Sunset on the Beach event attracts thousands from around the world, including the celebs themselves to a red carpet beach walk.
First order of business for fans from afar: BOOK ‘EM DANNO! And by that, I mean they’ve already been booking their flights for Hawaii to attend the Five-0 shindig on Sept. 26. Fan Anita Lavenia (@alavenia) tweeted: “Already got my tickets!! @PLenkov Big news for #H50 fans – SUNSET ON THE BEACH confirmed – September 26, 2013 – HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!”
And while fans have been blasting their Five-0 enthusiasm in a digital frenzy, some have been thanking CBS. @MaryE wrote this morning, “I.m getting ready to book my flight to beautiful Hawaii THANK YOU TO CBS for letting us know early.”Last year, the SOTB announcement didn’t come until less than a month before the Wakiki premiere and a day before the television debut – leaving a lot of fans wondering if it was really going to happen. A group of 75 mainland fans had already planned a trip to Hawaii; however, they planned it a bit too early. The year before that, the SOTB event was about 10 days before the TV premiere. To remedy that, Hawaii Aloha Travel treated them to a sold-out tour and luau at Kualoa Ranch.
No details yet on which stars will be gracing the red carpet, but we’ll be sure to bring that to you as soon as we get it! Just as a reminder, the show will be moving to Friday nights come fall – starting with its Sept. 27 debut.
