My review of the Creation Polynesian Show

If you’re looking for a one-stop-shop for entertainment while vacationing on Oahu, then this dinner show is an absolute must! “Creation” is a Polynesian journey where guests experience the unique cultures, traditions, and legends of the early Polynesians, performed by Tihati Productions. Samoan fire-knife dancing, Maori haka, and modern hula will mesmerize you as you witness the captivating stories of Hawaiian ancestors. This dinner and cocktail show is a refreshing change from the traditional luau that so many visitors book while in Hawaii, so if you’re looking for something different this time to Hawaii, be sure to check out “Creation” at the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani Hotel in the bustling city of Waikiki.

We had the pleasure of being guests at this show and were pleasantly surprised with the performance quality, food, and seating layout. “Creation” has been in production for 45 years and is the longest running show in Waikiki, however they continually change the show to keep it fresh and different. We were treated to the Ali’i Deluxe Dinner Show Package, which includes dinner with tableside service, two beverages, comfortable seating, and hours of entertainment. We were happily impressed with the seating arrangement for the dinner and show because even though you sit at long banquet tables with other guests, if you’re part of the Ali’i Deluxe Dinner Show Package, you have plenty of your own space at the table. So even if there are ten people at the table, you still feel like you’re in your own private space with your date or party.

The show is in Waikiki at the beautiful Sheraton Princess Kaiulani Hotel, so this is also a great perk for visitors. In Waikiki, you typically can only book a traditional luau, so if you’re burnt out on this type of entertainment, you’ll be pleased to know you can get tickets to “Creation”, which is in walking distance of most Waikiki hotels. Child ticket prices are also available, which are significantly cheaper than adult prices and accommodate ages 5-12. But we wouldn’t be doing this blog post justice if we didn’t give you the details of the food and drinks too! Mai tais, draft beer, soft drinks, and juices are available, or you can order up your own cocktail from the full bar. And listen to this 3-course dinner menu: Start off with a fresh island green salad with salmon lox, shrimp and sweet fruit. Your next course is appetizers, which consist of fresh island poke, Lomi Lomi salmon and delicious pineapple chunks with your choice of two beverages. Next, feast on juicy filet mignon and lobster tail, and shrimp with scallop with a tasty crème sauce. While it all sounds tempting and mouth-watering, be sure to save some room for your final course! For dessert, savor a chocolate macadamia truffle with mango mousse to top things off!

Have we enticed you yet? The “Creation” Show is a worthwhile experience that we would recommend time and time again to visitors and locals of all ages. If you’re looking for a romantic evening in Waikiki or a fun night for the family, this performance is ideal. Be sure to contact us for special pricing and more details and information, we’d love to tell you more!
