A Hawaiian Honeymoon Hero

It’s not uncommon to choose Hawaii as your honeymoon destination. In fact, hundreds of newlyweds do it every year, enjoying the sun, the surf and the relaxed island ambiance with their loved one. It is uncommon, however, for the newlywed to become a newly-heroed after saving someone’s life.

That’s what happened this weekend, when reality star Jack Osbourne got a taste of some real drama. He and his wife Stelly had just tied the knot at the Big Island’s Four Seasons Resort, according to E! News. The couple also helped Jack’s mother celebrate her 60th birthday. But just when they thought the wedding and birthday festivities could be added to another chapter in their family memory albums, the Osbournes got a surprise ending to the chapter.

Stelly’s joyful wedding tweets took an unexpected turn for their loyal followers when she tweeted this weekend, “Really proud of Jack and his friend Tyler who saved a woman on the beach yesterday who’d had a heart attack and drown.”

They spotted the woman in distress off the coast and swam out to save her. Stelly continued with a second tweet, “They resuscitated her until the ambulance came. We just found out she’s in stable condition! Awesome!”

Awesome is right! We love hearing good things that come out of Hawaii vacations, and in this case, the newlyweds can truthfully conclude their memory album with, “We all lived happily every after!”
