Hawaii renews hotels too

Relaxing in Hawaii restores the spirit of visitors, and the hotels that host them sometimes need renewal as well. Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel has joined the list of Hawaii hotels getting make-overs this summer.

The hotel is located on the Big Island of Hawaii’s Kohala Coast, within The Mauna Kea Resort. What has not changed is the spectacular view of the white sand Hapuna Beach rimming the sparkling blue of the Pacific Ocean. What has changed is the interior design of 96 of the luxury suites and ocean front guest rooms.

The half-million-dollar renewal provides modern comforts “amid a serene Hawaiian ambience” according to the hotel. It says designers drew inspiration from the rich history of Kohala for colors and fabrics. “Walls are adorned in traditional kapa prints accented by Polynesian-inspired fabrics on pillows, new chair furnishings, and tailored linen bed skirts alongside modern bedside, floor, and table lighting.”

In addition to the updated rooms, the hotel has six restaurants, upscale shopping and an 18-hole golf course.
