Hawaii - Hotel Occupancy
It is bad news for Hawaii’s tourism industry, but it could well be good news for you. Hotel occupancy in Hawaii has dropped by more than ten percentage points since January of last year. Blame it on the economy.
On Oahu, hotels are only about two-thirds full. One the outer islands, occupancy is dropping more towards half-full.
You can now guess what that means. Room rates are dropping, too. So far, they’re down about seven percent, with the nightly average at about $200, now.
Here at Hawaii-Aloha, we’re in tune with everything that’s out there — all the discounts, twofers and freebees available. Pick an agent from our homepage, or call 1-800-843-8871. Let’s see what a great deal we can fashion for you.
