Luxury and Adventure at The Lodge & Beach Village at Molokai Ranch
Travelers looking for luxury and adventure in 2007 will find both at The Lodge & Beach Village at Molokai Ranch. With a variety of accommodations, slate of outdoor activities, and a postcard-perfect setting, The Lodge & Beach Village at Molokai Ranch offers guests a unique vacation experience, from mauka (the mountains) to makai (the sea).
Located high on a bluff in historic Maunaloa town, the Lodge offers guests the luxury and warmth of an old Hawaiian plantation owner’s home. Each elegantly appointed guest room in the upscale Lodge offers panoramic ocean and ranchland views. The Lodge also features a spacious living room with fireplace, fine dining room and lounge as well as a pool, fitness center and spa.
Visitors who prefer a setting closer to nature and the ocean will enjoy the distinctive accommodations at The Beach Village. Environmentally-sensitive canvas-framed bungalows on elevated wooden platforms feature two sleeping rooms, private bathrooms with hot running water, solar-powered lights and ceiling fans, daily maid service, and secluded lanais offering spectacular views.
Guests of The Lodge & Beach Village at Molokai Ranch may choose from a variety of daily activities such as ocean kayaking, mountain biking, clay shooting, archery, and cultural hikes. Several different horseback adventures are also available, including trail rides and a paniolo round-up, offering guests a first-hand experience as Molokai Ranch paniolo (cowboys). Activities range from $25 to $125 per person.
In the evening, guests can take advantage of Molokai island’s unique unpolluted views to the southern sky for incredible star-gazing. There’s also live jazz at the Lodge every Friday and Saturday and traditional Hawaiian music on Sundays.
Molokai Ranch is Hawaii’s second largest working ranch, spanning 65,000 acres of unspoiled beach and countryside. The ranch has a long and proud history on the Friendly Isle since its founding over a century ago by Prince Kapuaiwa, the future King Kamehameha V. The Lodge at Molokai Ranch is only the second property in Hawaii to become a member of the prestigious Small Luxury Hotels of the World.
