It’s bad news for the Hawaii tourism industry but could be good news for you. Hotel occupancy in Hawaii has dropped by more than ten percentage points since January of last year.

Have you ever thought about moving to Hawaii? But today we talk about that in response to a podcast listener question from prior who would like to know if this is a feasible idea. Average people to really move here and we discuss some of the challenges that you will face if you decide to make Hawaii your home.
In our last podcast we told you about concerns people are having about Expedia and some of the other online travel sites use of cookies. We update you on this concern with an article in the most recent travel weekly which explains how Expedia is now selling data collected from cookies to third parties.
We go over packages today that have been booked in the last 24 to 48 hours which is a great way to see what people are paying for their Hawaii vacations. The declining economy is taking its toll on the visitor industry, especially on the front lines at the various airlines. On today’s show we discuss a controversial topic; the declining customer service in the airline industry. This topic was prompted by some issues our customers are having with a local airline here in Hawaii.
