If you’ve wondered what the best way is to make travel arrangements for Hawaii, the firmest answer is: Not by yourself! Today we talk about why you should use an agent preferably one that it in Hawaii. You see, when you use an agent, you package all the aspects of your trip. When you package, everything cost less, and you don’t get anything you don’t want. Wholesalers, with whom you cannot deal, pay for tickets, rooms and cars in bunches. When they do that, of course, they pay a lot less than you would. We also discuss packages that have been booking in the last 24 hours which will give you an idea of Hawaii Vacation costs.
There are times when airfares climb – often at an alarming rate. Airfares apparently will continue to go up as the fuel situation lingers and worsens. There are two ways airline tickets are sold: at published rates and at bulk rates. Bulk-rate fares, which usually are lower than the published rates, are offered mostly by wholesalers and travel agents.
When you buy a published-rate reservation, you must pay the full price at the time. That price is locked in and not affected by the increase. When you make a bulk-rate reservation through certain Hawaii-based travel agents, you make only a deposit.
Today we do a follow up story to a Washington Post Article that appeared back in January, a touching story about Robert Cox, his 2 sons and his beloved wife Anita. Before his wife died from cancer in November, the couple had planned to visit Hawaii with their sons. Anita had never been there. To honor her memory, they wanted to come to Hawaii. The newspaper was looking for people who needed advice about planning a Hawaiian Vacation, so Bob contacted the Post and his story was chosen. As a result the Newspaper helped him plan his Hawaiian Vacation from end to end with the help of our Agent Ashely Larson. Ashley helped Bob and the boys take care of the little details only a Hawaii based agent could do, including a helicopter ride in Hilo where some of his wife’s ashes were spread across the Pacific Ocean .
Bob and his boys have also started a foundation in his wife’s memory called LiveLaughLove Foundation. she was a teacher and mentor. It was established in December 2007 to fund innovative school-based projects that creatively "inject interactive fun" into the learning process, and to sponsor school-inspired "LiveLaughLove" special events.
Today we talk about making your Hawaiian Vacation Special. Hawaii has something for just about everyone except gamblers. The question is, how can you make your trip memorable and unique? We discuss some ways to do just that and also talk about a podcast listener question from Mike who wants to know about helicopter rides. We also go over some packages that have been booked in the last 24 hours and welcome new customers to our Ohana (family)
