Hawaii Superferry stalled, maybe gone forever

March 18th, 2009

The Hawaii Superferry is once again grouded and this time probbaly for good.  The Hawaii state Supreme Court determined yesterday that a law passed by the Hawaii Legislature allowing the ferry to operate without an environmental impact statement was unconstitutional. This was a huge blow to the Hawaii superferry and as a result they ceased operations and lay off all workers.  Today we talk about this controversy and what led to the problem.

Today we answer a podcast listener question from Jeaninie who wants to know whether or not a big Island trip in October is a good idea to over her options and discuss possible plans for her trip.  We also go over packages that have been in the last 2448 hrs and welcome customers are Ohana.
