Aloha to 2008 – Happy New Year

On our last podcast of the year we answer a couple of podcast listener questions.  Michelle from Seattle wants to know about Island hopping and Lou from California needs some help making the right Island choice for a family vacation.

Deal or No Deal?
Today we dissect a package from Pleasant Hawaiian holidays, they’re offering a Fly/Drive deal for $289 round-trip from San Francisco or Los Angeles.  The price includes a car for 3 days.  Is this deal for real?  Can they really do it for that price? Listen and find out as we talk about this deal and others.

We go over packages today that have been booked in the last 24 to 48 hours so if you’re  planning a trip to the islands this is a great segment to hear what people are paying for their Hawaii vacations.  We take this opportunity to thank new customers and also the great Hawaii-Aloha who booked them.

Hawaii is hard to resist for Vacation right now

This year in addition to opening our Christmas and Hanukkah presents,  Yaling and I have been busy finding out about all of the great deals that are beginning to surface for vacations to Hawaii.  We talk about the low air fares that we’re seeing from the East Coast, including airfare for only $414 from Washington, DC.  We also discuss how cruises are a great deal with inside cabins going for as low as $1000 per person.  We’ve not seen pricing like this for over a year for the NCL ships. We also talk about cruises for 2009 and give a quick snapshot of some of the dates and cruises that are available from the mainland for next year.

Today we answer a quick podcast listener question about island hopping and go over some Hawaii packages that have been booked in the last 24 to 48 hours. We take this opportunity to welcome new customers to our "Ohana" (family).

The Meaning of Aloha during the Holidays

You need to a flashplayer enabled browser to view this YouTube video

Life is everywhere– in the trees, the flowers, the ocean, the fish, the birds, the pili grass, the rainbow, the rock.  In all the world was life, was god, was Aloha — aloha in its gaiety, joy, happiness, abundance.

Hawaii Travel trends for 2009

Today we talk about 2009 Travel trends for Hawaii. We discuss some of the main points that were brought out in an article recently written by blogger Sheila Beal from govisithawaii.com , she interviewed some of Hawaii’s top experts to see if she could get a handle on where things are going for the tourism market for Hawaii next year. While we’re not in 100% agreement with everything in the article most of it is right on target.

We also go over packages that have been booked in the last 24 to 48 hours so if you’re planning a trip to Hawaii this is a perfect segment for you. We welcome new customers to our Ohana (family) and also take the opportunity to thank all of the great Hawaii aloha travel agents that helped plan these great Hawaii  Vacations.

Hawaii Vacation Deal? or No Deal?

You can practically go blind  with all of the specials and deals being offered to Hawaii these days.  There are so many offers and deals to choose from it’s hard to get a handle on which one is right for you and whether or not it’s really even a good value.  Today we give you some insight into how to make sure you’re actually getting a good deal when you see one and how to decipher just how much money you really do save.  We do some side-by-side comparisons and go over pricing for "so called" deals to Hawaii. We also talk about a great resource GOVISITHAWAII.COM   where you can find out about these deals and we share some great money-saving tips.

We also take some time to answer a podcast listener question about how to make the best use of  two weeks in Hawaii. We also go over some great packages that have been booked in the last 24 to 48 hours and we take this opportunity to thank new clients and the agents that book them to the beautiful 50th state.
