Today we talk about the 2009 AAA Four Diamond list that just got released. The establishments that make the list are considered upscale in every sense. AAA says that listed hotels are more refined and stylish, and there’s an obvious enhanced level of quality throughout. According to AAA, the fundamental hallmarks at this level include an extensive array of amenities combined with a high degree of hospitality, service, and attention to detail. Here are the Hawaii lodgings that made the list: On the Big Island, the Fairmont Orchid and the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel and Bungalows on Kauai, the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa; on Lanai, the Four Seasons Resort Lanai at Manele Bay and The Lodge at Koele; on Maui, the Fairmont Kea Lani, the Grand Wailea Resort Hotel and Spa, Hotel Hana Maui and Honua Spa, the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa, the Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa, and the Westin Maui Resort & Spa; and on Oahu, the Halekulani, the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Resort & Spa, the JW Marriott Ihilani Resort & Spa at Ko Olina, and the Kahala Hotel & Resort.
