Getting discount airfare to Hawaii

in light of the news recently about airline fuel increases  and high prices for Hawaii we discuss how to get discount airfare to Hawaii.  We explain how it’s possible to do get last year’s low prices for packages with air fares as low as $429 per person round-trip from the West Coast.  We also discuss ways to save money on airfare and when the best time to travel to get the deals that are out there right now.  Hawaii is no higher in price than any other destination which is also being hit with slight increases. Today we discussed some of the specials being offered by the hotels.  We also talked about how purchasing a package would bring the cost down on your overall trip and give some examples of trips that have been booked in the last 24 to 48 hours.  We congratulate new customers and also the agents had booked them.

NPR adds “fuel” to the Hawaii High price debate

The folks at NPR really wanted to spin the Hawaii market negatively, but I wouldn’t let them.  if you read the paragraph below you would think Hawaii is out of your price range,  but it’s not!! Hawaii is a   value right now  as the hotels start to offer great deals!!  I was on the NPR show Day by Day and here is what I said.

NPR – Day by Day – If you’re dreaming of a spring vacation on the sandy beaches of Hawaii, think again. Rising fuel costs are making that sort of vacation a lot more expensive. And travel agents are seeing a slowdown in vacation bookings. Madeleine Brand speaks with Bruce Fisher, owner of the Hawaii Aloha Travel Company in Honolulu.

Is Airfare to Hawaii too high?

With all the news lately about bankruptcies and fuel charge increases people are beginning to wonder if air fares are just too high to come to Hawaii.  Today we talk about this important issue and discuss price increases and offer ways that you can still come to Hawaii and get a great value.  For the most part,  fuel charges are all ticket based which means that the increases to Hawaii are the same as everywhere in the country. In reality Hawaii is no more expensive than any other destination with regard to fuel charge increases, in fact,  you get more bang for your buck because you actually get to come all the way to Hawaii for the same amount of money.  We’re also seeing great values from the hotels being offered with some lowering their prices and others adding free nights.  We also talk about packages that have been booked in the last 24 hours and go over pricing of these packages and welcome new customers to our Ohana (family)
