My wife and I have stayed at the grand old Moana Surfrider many times, on every visit Oahu (usually last week of October). We always booked ahead to take a room streetside on the central main 4th floor over the big entranceway. The open and connected balcony was a greet way to meet your neighbor late at night and we enjoy “people watching” more than the oceanside, especially on Halloween night….
Haven’t been able to get there for the past 6 or so years, and the mention of the Moana kinda spikes some renewed thinking of returning.
We always had great service from the Sheraton people when they owned it, and I hope the Westin staff is equally up to the standards I remember.
