Sea Life Park Hawaii offers a fun-filled "hands on" experience with Hawaii dolphins and marine sea life.

 I had a chance to visit the park with a couple of friends and these are some pics I’d like to share. 

Sea Life Park is a world class marine attraction perched between the majestic Ko’olau Mountain Range and the breath-taking Makapu’u Beach on the eastside of Oahu. See Dolphins dance and spin, sea lions sing and penguins perform in this magical place by the sea! Enjoy a variety of shows starring some of Hawaii’s most famous dolphins and other friends from the sea, as well as fascinating educational exhibits. 

DOLPHIN COVE- Dolphins perform in this beautiful ocean-side lagoon complete with its own private island.

KOLOHE KAI SURF CLUB- sea lions delight guests with their humouros antics.

Of course, there were penquins, duh.

A very charming sea lion stole the show and a couple of minnows from her trainer.

HERE’S THE LATEST NEWS FROM NORWEGIAN…………….

March 3, 2009 - Norwegian Cruise Line today unveiled the first images of its new 153,000-gross ton, 4,200-passenger Norwegian Epic, the company’s largest and most innovative Freestyle Cruising ship to date. Currently under construction at STX Europe in St. Nazaire, France, the contemporary, balcony-rich, 19-deck ship will be 1,068 feet long, 133 feet wide, with a draft of 28.5 feet when completed in May 2010.

Five of the distinct hotspots for NCL’s next generation of Freestyle Cruising ship, Norwegian Epic, were revealed at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. From Riviera chic and Ibiza style to Miami trendy and Vegas flair, the Norwegian Epic’s nightclubs will create never-before-seen experiences at sea and feature multiple uses for day or night, along with exclusive, adult-only venues.

I know this weekend alot of you are thinking about the SuperBowl, but did you know that nestled in between The Sheraton Waikiki and The Royal Hawaiian Hotels, is Waikiki’s newest SUPERPOOL !                                                YUP, breaking ground on June 14, 2008 and constructed on what was once a grassy, outdoor function area, The Helumoa Playground, is run by the Sheraton and offers a family friendly area for guests of both properties.             This newest addition to the Sheraton brings a new dimension that Starwood Hotel’s neighbor island properties have long enjoyed - a resort "Superpool."  

The Playground features two fresh water swimming pools, a 15 foot high by 70 foot long water slide, a staging area for outdoor functions, two large whirlpools with sweeping views of Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head, an interactive fountain area for kids, 10 cabanas, chaise water sunning benchs and a pool hut where guests may borrow towels and purchase pool goods including sun products, inflatable floatation devices and toys. The Playground also offers the perfect spot for family activities such as lei making, water slide races, hula lessons, story telling and star gazing.

I wanted to shout out a big MAHALO to the folks at The Sheraton Waikiki.     I spent a wonderful weekend there enjoying my 45th birthday.                           Don’t even ask what happened! My Oceanfront room was perfect and the view was AMAZING !

   MEET MARK AND KELLY

 A couple of months ago, I recieved a call from Mark and Kelly.                They had me on speaker phone and they had a ton of questions regarding the 7 day cruise around the Hawaiian Islands on the "Pride of America". The HAPPY COUPLE was celebrating their 20th Wedding Anniversary, so I was very eager to assist them and make sure they had a GREAT time. They also wanted to check out WAIKIKI and see what the WORLD FAMOUS BEACH had to offer. I was able to find LOW AIRFARE from JFK for them and I combined or ‘PACKAGED" the airfare with a special rate at "The Marriot Waikiki Beach Resort". Lucky me !  I spent a couple of nights at The Hyatt Regency Waikiki Resort last week and here’s my "RESORT REPORT ".
