OMG ! I had such a great time at "The Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa", last month.

Everything was great ! This is the comfortable living room area which led out to my Oceanfront balcony.

The king size bed was too big and I had trouble getting out of it.  LOL !

The Grotto Bar is the ultimate underwater swim up bar !

Lots of birds, flamingos, ducks and the occasional black swans just wandering around.

And you have to see the "Drums of the Pacific Luau" right there at the Hyatt.

   Recently, okay it was last month, my fellow travel agents and I were invited to a hotel site inspection of The Outrigger Waikiki and the Outrigger Reef Resorts. I have not seen the renovations at the Reef since its completion, so I was anticipating a great time. The sales people at Outrigger always go out of thier way to impress us.  

First stop, The Outrigger Waikiki is THE landmark beachfront hotel in the heart of Waikiki. The deluxe guest rooms are dressed in contemporary island style.

The one bedroom oceanfront rooms are furnished with huge whirlpool tubs and walk in showers. OMG !

The hotel offers three beachfront restaurants including the legendary Duke’s Canoe Club, Hula Grill Waikiki and Chuck’s Steak House.

In 2009, The Outrigger Reef Hotel completed a $110 million top to bottom renovation that involved almost every aspect of the hotel. The new porte cochere features a huge suspended century old koa wood canoe.

The new spacious guest rooms offer a tasteful blend of contempory and cultural decor.

The one bedroom oceanfront suites are furnished with huge whirlpool tubs ! INCREDIBLE ! you can tell i love the whirlpool tubs : )

The Ocean House restaurant offers elegant oceanfront dining. The Shore Bird restaurant and Beach Bar are for more casual dining.

Afterwards, Sales Manager, Lori Naone treated us to a wonderful lunch at Kani Ka Pila Grill right near the pool at the Reef. We talked story and about how much we LOVE the The Outrigger Waikiki and Outrigger Reef hotels. MAHALO LORI !

His original "Mai Thai" receipe beat out entries from 21 other bartenders to earn the title of "Worlds Best Mai Tai" and a $10,000 check from Bacardi.
