The Ala Moana Hotel is a great property with a good location if you are looking for a variety of night life and activities.  They are conveniently located near the Hawaii Convention Center, Ala Moana Shopping Center and Ala Moana Beach Park.

The hotel has  recently completed a multi-million dollar renovation.  They have 4 restaurants, a Polynesian showroom, popular Rumor’s nightclub, a new sundeck with poolside cocktail bar and a fitness center.

The Grand Wailea Resort  Hotel & Spa, is located on 40 acres, near Wailea Beach.  It has a prime location that is known for being sunny and has a dry climate.

Playing a Tourist

Being born and raised in Hawaii, I often take the beauty of our islands for granted.

I realized this when driving over the H-3 on the Island of Oahu to the windward side of the island.

Once you come out of the tunnel/mountain, the view is breathtaking.  Being so high up, you have a view of the mountains and Kaneohe Bay.

It reminded me of how lucky I am to live in Hawaii and how I need to explore my island more often by playing a tourist.

I rarely do the "touristy thing" by visiting our islands popular attractions.

Some of the things I would like to do again and haven’t done since I was a kid is visit the Arizona Memorial and drive around the whole island making stops at popular beaches.

Come visit Hawaii, you’ll never have an experience like this anywhere else in the world!
