Outrigger Reef is being re-created with a top-to-bottom transformation. The property has completed the first phase of a $100 million renovation that includes rebuilding of all guestrooms, reception and common areas. The effort will continue through 2008. Great care has been taken to isolate activity to minimize inconvenience to guests.
Every one of Outrigger Reef's new 631 deluxe guest rooms, including 44 exquisitely appointed suites, will be enlarged to give guests additional space to make their stay more comfortable. Full-sized bathtubs will be in all rooms and whirlpool bathtubs in one-bedroom oceanfront suites. Complimentary high-speed Internet and long distance phone calls to the neighbor islands, U.S. mainland and Canada. For coffee lovers, you will be happy to know there is a Starbucks on property.
The pool is scheduled to re-open March 2008, in the meantime guests receive complimentary access to two pools at nearby properties. At this time room service is not available. It is expected to resume in 2009. Currently guests get one $100 dinning voucher per room per three day stay. There are two dining options right on the beach, the Shore Bird restaurant and the Ocean House Restaurant. The Serenity Spa is also available with a full menu of day spa treatments. The resort is in a great location for walking to the beach, shopping, dining and taking the Honolulu Bus.
