If you are looking for the more hands on experience you can participate in the activities offered by the different villages such as spear throwing, fire knife dancing, coconut husking, or ukulele lessons. The center also offers two shows, Rainbows of Paradise which spotlights the native dances of each of the different Polynesian islanders, and "Ha: Breath of Life" the night show that tells the ancient story of a boy born in paradise. For the evening, you will hop onboard the world's largest Polynesian catamaran, the Ali'i Kai Makahiki for a sunset dinner cruise through the warm, tropical waters. You will enjoy views of Waikiki and the Honolulu coast, not to mention the natural wonders all around you. !

Day 6 - Magnificent Maui Tour

Maui's popular tour steals you away to view many of the island's natural and cultural landmarks. You'll wind up an impressively beautiful road to the top of Mount Haleakala ("House of the Rising Sun"), where at an altitude of 10,023 feet, you'll be amongst the clouds. Your tour guide will provide interesting facts along the way while you take in the breathtaking magnificence of the volcano, Pacific Ocean, and lush valleys that give Maui it's coining description as, "the Valley Isle." Within the rainforest you will also be delighted to learn about the Iao Needle (lava rock formation), tropical native plants, and tumbling waterfalls that help make up this island's uniqueness.

After you've breathed in the impressiveness at the top of the volcano, you'll then course back down to sea level to the charming town of Lahaina. Here you'll find an array of restaurants, shops, and galleries that you are free to stroll through and peruse. The final two hours of the tour are here, so take your time admiring the local art and handiwork and enjoy winding down the day. After the tour, transportation services will take you back to the hotel where you can dress for dinner. Onboard you'll gear up to snorkel along the coast, viewing a variety of fish with names like Humuhumunukunukuapua’a (Hawaii’s state fish), Long Nose Butterfly, and Parrotfish. All snorkeling equipment is provided along with a tutorial on safety and instruction. You'll also receive a personalized service from the crewmembers, as well as a local-style lunch with snacks and sodas.

This cruise is a spectacular way to see Maui from the ocean side, and a fun way to spend a day outdoors. During the winter months of December through April, oftentimes cruise guests will spot humpback whales in the near distance. A great way to capture these amazing moments is to use an underwater camera, so you can have fun snapping away at the tropical schools of fish and marine life. You may even be lucky enough to see an ancient honu (turtle) gliding past you in the water on its own personal adventure.

Day 8 - Free day, old lahain luau, breakfast at the hotel

Today you may want to take the time to plan your own personal activity. After a refreshing breakfast at the hotel, perhaps you'd like to spend the afternoon at the pool. Warming up on the cushioned lounge chairs and then cooling off in the pristine water doesn't sound like a bad way to fit in some relaxation. Or spend the day reclined in the hotel with your favorite book. Whatever the day's events may be, make sure you have enough aloha left for the Lahaina Luau! The Old Lahaina Luau takes pride in creating an event filled with authentic, traditional fun. The sun will set as you enjoy foods from a different culture and entertainment from another history. With Hawaiian music, cultural dancing, and island crafts, you'll pass from present Hawaii, to a rich, ancient one. Transportation services will deposit you back to the hotel, where you can rest and recapture the vacation of a lifetime.

Day 9 - DEPARTURE DAY Depending on your departure hour, you may have time for one last walk along the beach. If so, ask the hotel's front desk to hold your luggage, and go have a bit more amusement in the Hawaiian sun. A stretch limousine will be ready to take you from the hotel to the airport in a timely manner. As you board the plane home, remember the spirit of Aloha that you carried with you throughout your vacation. Give us a warm aloha (hello, goodbye, and I love you) until we happen to meet again.
