Big Island - Mauna Kea Beach Hotel

Currently the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel is closed due to the October 2006 earthquake damage. Construction has begun with the $150 million repair and renovation. Golf designer Rees Jones is leading the golf course upgrade. The goal is to re-open December of 2008 and re-establish the Mauna Kea as a sophisticated and intimate luxury hotel.
