Overlooking the blue water of the Pacific on the southernmost tip of Kauai, the Castle Makahuena, is a condo  resort. It's prime location atop a rock bluff in Poipu, is considered one of the best beaches and is just one mile west of the resort. Given its location, the resort enjoys both sunrise and sunset and provides a great location for whale watching from wooden benches at the edge of the bluff. The outdoor pool and jetted tub are surrounded by a sundeck with BBQ grills for guest use. There are safe-deposit boxes at the front desk, and the staff can arrange golf outings, sightseeing trips, luaus and other activities. Child care can be arranged and complimentary wireless Internet access is offered.

The condominium-style units are located in two and three story buildings with no elevators. Most accommodations feature tiled floors and all come with dial-up Internet access, VCRs and in-room safes. Kitchens feature refrigerators, cook tops and microwave ovens.
