Formerly known as the Hotel Hāna Maui & Honua Spa, the Travaasa Hāna offers comfortable and luxurious accommodations in the secluded town of Hāna.  The name Travaasa is derived from the combination of the words “travel” and “pravaasa, ” a Sanskrit word meaning “memorable journey.  The Road to Hāna is a picturesque and scenic journey many vacationers opt to take while vacationing in Maui, and the Travaasa Hāna is the perfect destination for visitors looking to take in all the sights and activities Hāna has to offer.

 Travaasa guests may choose from Sea Ranch Cottages and Garden Suites and Condos, each offering a variety of activities, luxuries, and amenities.  The ocean-view cottages offer large, private terraces, and several feature private outdoor jet-spas.  Guests looking to stay active while on vacation can take part in a variety of fitness and wellness classes offered at the resort, or arrange to go stand-up paddleboarding, horseback riding, snorkeling, or hiking.  Guests looking to relax outdoors can visit one of three resort pools or take a dip in the heated outdoor whirlpools.  Although the hotel is not located directly on the beach, visitors can easily take a trip to the black sand beach at Waianapanapa State Park or the beach at Hāna Bay.  The hotel offers these beach trips as well as a variety of off-property excursions to scenic and historic sites in the surrounding area.
