Don the Beachcomber Restaurant offers award-winning European-Asian fusion cuisine in a picturesque oceanfront setting. Don's Mai-Tai Bar is the largest oceanfront open-air bar in Kailua Kona and offers lunch, appetizers, and a variety of specialty cocktails including 10 variations of the Mai- Tai. The bar also features live entertainment and large televisions for broadcasting sporting events. Don's Breezeway Lounge provides specialty cocktails and spectacular views of the ocean in an elegant and comfortable lounge setting. Additional restaurants and bars can be found nearby in the town of Kailua Kona. The Royal Kona Resort's Lava Legends & Legacies - Journeys of the South Pacific Luau takes place four nights a week and offers a spectacular Polynesian feast as well as a variety of ancient and modern entertainment.
Nearby activities include tennis, whale-watching, kayaking, hiking, surfing, and catamaran cruises. Additional island attractions located within one to two hours of the resort include Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Mauna Kea Summit Observatory, Imiloa Astronomy Center of Hawaii, and Parker Ranch. |
