Oahu Sightseeing

Oahu offers a great variety of beautiful and historical attractions for tourists to see. Most tourists experience Oahu on guided tours; however you can also opt for sightseeing on your own. Most Oahu sightseeing tour companies conduct guided tours by bus, stopping at locations like the Iolani Palace, Polynesian Cultural Center, Pacific Aviation Museum, Dole Plantation, Diamond Head and Pearl Harbor.

The Iolani Palace is the only royal palace in United States, which was the official residence of the Hawaiian Kingdom’s last two monarchs King Kalakaua and Queen LiliÊ»uokalani. While touring Pearl Harbor, you can view the Pearl Harbor Museum as well as watch a film depicting the events of December 7, 1941. See where the Pineapple King, James Dole, developed the pineapple industry at the Dole Plantation. Experience Hawaiian and other South Pacific cultures at the Polynesian Cultural Center.

If you want to experience Oahu’s breathtaking sceneries, take a hike up Diamond Head crater and observe the panoramic views. Visit Waimea Falls Park and see the famous 45-foot high Waimea Falls among 1,800 acres of lush tropical forest. Relax on the white sand at Waikiki Beach, Ala Moana Beach, or any of Oahu’s 125+ beaches and enjoy your time in paradise.

As with any other tourist destination, you need to have ample time for Oahu sightseeing. There are so many places to see and visit on Oahu that you need to plan accordingly. You are not going to want to miss a thing!
