Nightlife in Famed Waikiki

With the new improvements to Waikiki comes a lot more nightlife added to the scene in famed Waikiki on Oahu.

Senor Frogs is a newer nightclub located on the second floor of the Royal Hawaiian Hotel.  Don’t let the long line fool you some nights it does usually move rather quickly.  They offer fun things going on in the middle of the night club scene.  On the night we went they had people dressed in costume doing a dance to Michael Jackson’s Thriller song.  Also was a "surfer dude" carried on top a surf board around the club as if surfing through the crowd.  Some nights is packed as this is a night club hot spot in waikiki, but it’s fun and adventurous and fun for those wanting to just go out and dance the night away with locals and visitors alike.

The yardhouse is another bar in waikiki at the embassy suites waikiki on the new beachwalk project.  For the beer lover this place has  130 beers on tap.  It’s a little more bar and grill than senor frogs is more like a night club.  Has a little more of a relaxed feel to it with food and drink.  If you love beer this is a place to be in waikiki!

Another new addition to waikiki is the Rum fire located on the ground floor of the Sheraton Waikiki.  This new hot spot is located oceanfront in waikiki and features the largest selection of vintage rum in the US as well as an exotic blend of tapas-style cuisine and fire pits adorning their 7000 square foot interior.  Live entertainment is offered 5 days a week , tuesday through saturday from 5pm-7pm, and every 2nd and 4th saturday from 9pm-2am with notable local musicians.
Also start your night with the Pau Hana (finished work, after work) specials in waikiki daily from 4pm-6pm.
This bar is open for dinner from 4pm to 11pm and late night cocktails til 2am.

And last but not least, not a new property, but a favorite.  Duke’s bar and grill located in the lobby of the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach.  This establishment has been home to great food, great drinks, great music and great fun.  Also located on the oceanfront in waikiki.

Remember to take advantage of those "Pau Hana" specials or Happy Hour pricing in waikiki.  If you are looking for a vacation where you can enjoy some night clubbing and enjoying that mai tai, lava flow or blue hawaii on hawaii’s famous waikiki beach call Hawaii Aloha Travel today to start planning your exciting and exotic vacation.

Hi — I’m coming to Hawaii soon and someone mentioned that they saw Segway’s in Hawaii.
Are you aware of this fun activity and where we go to find them?

We’ve done Segway tours in Washington, D.C. and it was a blast and a great way to be up close and personal on a tour - and it sure beats walking or sitting in a smelly van or driving yourself and getting lost.

    Appreciate your help.

    Thanks, jeanne

    Aloha,

Here is a website to find places that rent segways. Depending on what island. Looks like they rent them in maui and on oahu.
