Ritz-Carlton Condos To Debut on Waikiki Beach
The Ritz-Carlton has no doubt become synonymous with luxury hotels and resorts at premier vacation destinations throughout the world. That's why it's no surprise the renowned company chose Waikīkī as its newest location for high-rise, upscale condominiums.
The Ritz-Carlton Residences will feature condos ranging in size from 400 to 3,000-plus square feet, according to the press release, and will be located next to "Luxury Row." As the name suggests, this area on Kalākaua Avenue includes upscale retailers, like Chanel, Tiffany & Co. and Gucci. Construction will begin by the end of this year and should be completed by 2016.
You don't have to live at The Residences to enjoy its presence on O‘ahu. There will be a cafe and restaurant, as well as a gourmet food market, opened to the public. Other amenities for residents include pools, a spa, an owners' lounge and a fitness center.
Currently, the only Ritz-Carlton resort in Hawai‘i is located on Maui – the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua Resort and residences. This is where the popular tourist attraction called Dragon's Teeth can be found. In fact, the resort started construction on this sacred site during the 1980s, before finding human remains and relocating to its current site farther up the hill.
