		<description>Bruce...

You left off some major features of the Polynesian Cultural Center -- particularly the evening show and IMAX Theater. And people really like the dances and cultural presentations in the Tahiti, Fiji, and Aotearoa (New Zealand) villages, too. (I agree, Samoa is the most fun.)

Also, with a kama‘aina annual pass for Hawaii residents -- which is just $20 thru August, you even park free. I think the pass gives you discounts for your out-of-state visitors, too.

The boat parade is a "must see," not just a "stay if you haven't had enough." And the boat rides can be fun, too.

The IMAX film is beautiful, educational, and a nice break from the heat. The last time I watched the Japanese version, and still enjoyed it for the visuals.

And the evening show is spectacular with dozens of performers, great staging, and very entertaining. It's superior in my view to any Waikiki or luau show.

To beat the extra costs, you can carry your own water and go out to McDonalds (right next to PCC) for dinner, then return for the show. No need to buy a dinner package or the pineapple sherbet.

While many of their presentations are a bit jazzed up and packaged for tourist tastes, you can actually find lots of authentic island culture at PCC. It's a real asset to Polynesia.

Finally, the effort and gracious hospitality of the many BYU-H students who work at PCC to earn their way through college should be recognized and appreciated.

Aloha,
