disney hawaii vacationIs Disney Coming to Hawaii?
Every Monday (almost :)) Bruce and Yaling discuss Hawaii vacation news which  this week includes news about possible plans by the Disney Corporation to build a stand-alone hotel on Oahu. While the company pledges not to open any more theme parks, it is actively looking for fresh destinations to add to its hotel chain.  What better place than Hawaii? When you think about it, it’s the perfect family destination; no gambling or the reputation for crazyness,  and no hedonism. Just good clean fun!  There are so many multi-generational things to do here making it a prime location for the Disney Corporation.

A new study released by  Hawaii tourism officials conclude that visitors to Hawaii were pretty happy with their stay overall  in spite of some pretty horrific natural disasters here in 2006;  40 days of rain, flooding on Kauai and sewage spills apparently didn’t affect the attitude of visitors.  Bruce and Yaling talk about the story and give their own impressions during that time and discuss the things that make for a happy Hawaii visitor.

Is there still time left to Book a XMAS Hawaii Vacation?
Podcast listener Naomi wants to know if there is enough time left to still book a Hawaii vacation in over the Christmas holiday.  Hard to believe Christmas is right around the corner and actually booking at this point is a little bit late in the game however,  there are some deals to be had as long as you’re a little bit flexible  She’s trying to put together a multi-island trip and Bruce and yelling over the possibilities and answer her questions as will also offer some advice.

I have mixed feelings about the Disney project on Oahu. I know that Disney brings magic, and am sure that the resort will be wholesome and family centered. I’m just concerned about how Disney wil affect our aloha spirit. Time will surely tell…
