I recently stayed at the Sheraton Waikiki on Oahu with my family and of the two times I’ve stayed there this year - this time was the best experience.  It was Mother’s Day weekend and we decided to spend a night in Waikiki and I decided to book a corner Oceanfront room facing Diamond Head. 

I usually book an Oceanfront room where the balcony over the beach with a beautiful clear shot of Waikiki Beach.

We are a family of five and rather than get the two double beds we usually get one king and make do with that (our kids are young) - but I was told that the corner Diamond Head Oceanfront room was larger & so decided to give it a try.  The bedding options were two double beds or a king + a sofa bed - yahoo!!

WHOA!  Was I impressed!  First of all we walked in the room and BAM! there was the majestic Diamond Head Crater.

We could easily watch the surfers…

The kids (and us adults) absolutely love the new pool…

Thanks to the wonderful owners of Hawaii Aloha Travel we had an unbelievably delicious dinner at the Twist in the Hanohano Room at the top of the resort.

And to top it all off we had an amazing moon rise over Diamond Head…
