Humpback Whales at Waimea Bay, North Shore, Oahu
A couple of days ago my husband was taking me out to lunch and before we left the house I said - I have a feeling we should bring the camera - and I am so glad I did. We have been scanning the ocean since October of last year for a glimpse of the beautiful humpback whales who make our ocean waters their home between Oct-Apr every year. We were driving past Waimea Bay and SPLASH! we saw a whale jump totally out of the water. My husband pulled over so fast I thought we were going to have a car accident. I tried to so hard to get some shots of the whales coming totally out of the water but instead we got a few backs and lots of tails. Now I’m extra trigger happy and am determined to get some better shots.
