Pearl Harbor Home of Brave Tour

The Home of the Brave Hawaii victory tour is not just another Pearl Harbor excursion you see all over the Internet. This is truly an experience to remember. You’ll be taken to the most historic sites related to Pearl Harbor and the events that surrounded the attack on Ford Island.

This tour started back in 1991 in conjunction with the 50th commemoration of the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7 1941.

With an early start in Waikiki you head down to the Arizona Memorial where your board the Arizona at approximately the exact same time when the USS Arizona was attacked. Next, you head north to the Wheeler Army airfield where you’ll learn the Army air Corps side of the story and see the famous airstrip where the movies Tora Tora Tora and  the recent movie Pearl Harbor were filmed. Right next door you’ll visit Schofield barracks and tour the base which is home to the 25th infantry and learn the important contribution they made to the war.  After that,  you’ll go over to Fort Shafter better known as the "Pineapple Pentagon" and then to the Punchbowl National Memorial Cemetery and finally Downtown Honolulu.

Your tour will end at the home of the brave at the nostalgic 1940s style museum. You can take in their famous World War II Jeep or on the 1942 Army issued Harley-Davidson motorcycle which was actually used in the Disney movie Pearl Harbor. You’ll also see their wall of fame which honors fallen World War II heroes. You’ll also find an amazing collection of World War II memorabilia that will keep you interested and entertained for hours. You can also hang out and drink a Coca-Cola in the Wiki Whacky Woo Bar while reminiscing and listening to vintage music and movies.

Tour is available Monday thru Friday. Home of the Brave Tours is closed Saturday and Sunday and Federal Holidays.

This tour DOES NOT visit  the Battleship Missouri, the USS Bowfin Submarine, or the Pacific Aviation Museum
